How it Works

Choosing VNS – then putting it into operation is pure simplicity
So… you’re interested in VNS. Well putting it into service is simplicity itself.
Here’s the process.

  1. We analyze your current IT Infrastructure and user community, specifically scrutinizing:
    1. How many locations do you have?
    2. Who are the users at each and how do they connect to the internet?
    3. What applications are they using and for which do you own licenses?
    4. How much data storage do you need?

We also determine the best time to transfer your data to the new VNS storage area, a process whose time requirements vary according to the complexity and availability of your staff. That said, we’ll make it happen as quickly and effectively as possible.

  1. Next comes the action plan – the detailed, step-by-step process we follow to ensure implementation is seamless and successful. We thorough review the process with you to ensure you understand it, who will be involved and how long it will take (typically three to five days for 15-plus users). Steps include:
    1.  Setting up your applications in our data center and redirecting your e-mail to our servers
    2. Transferring your data to the new system and training your users
  2. Once you give us the green light, we schedule staff and start setting it up. Before this happens, we spend about five days behind the scenes organizing your VNS, creating your user profiles, configuring your applications and preparing to receive your data.
  3. By the time we arrive on-site to launch your VNS, all the pieces are in place to make a quick, efficient transition. All we have to do is test your connectivity, transfer your data and train your new users and management staff.

Typically data is transferred after hours so your users never even notice it’s been moved. When they start work the next day, the system is ready to go and there’s rarely any user downtime, though we remain on-site that day for any post-launch support for the system and for your users. While there, we also dismantle any remaining in-house equipment and train you how to use our Client Portal to request service, view invoices and access our knowledge base.

At this point, you’re operational. Your users now have all the functionality they were accustomed to before. Except you have a few less issues to lose sleep over…

  • No more servers
  • No more back-up tapes to change
  • No more hassles upgrading your applications or your equipment

Just pure VNS simplicity…
